CEO Response: Public Sector Spending Review
With the release of the new Public Sector Spending Review this week, our CEO has written a formal response to the proposed spending for the Law Enforcement Sector.

Forensic Analytics is a company built on creating efficiency, saving time and cost to Law Enforcement professionals. The recent spending review held promise for improved budgets, allowing Law Enforcement professionals to invest in game-changing tools and practises to revolutionise their crucial work. Despite some positive outlines, the review doesn't meet promises set out in pre-election commitments.
key takeaways:
£2.1 billion allocated increase in police funding from 2026 to 2029, projecting a £1.2 billion shortfall, potentially forcing police forces to reduce headcount.
The projected funding gap raises concerns about the feasibility of fulfilling commitments such as recruiting 13,000 additional officers and implementing comprehensive crime prevention measures.
The Police Federation and Police Superintendents' Association criticised the spending review as a failure to prioritise public safety after years of austerity.
The Labour Party's 2024 general election manifesto outlined comprehensive policies aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and fostering technological innovation – this has not been included in the review.
The Chancellor's Spending Review, whilst pivoting from years of austerity, falls short in addressing the funding needs of UK policing.
